Re: Health, Cell Membranes and Phosphatidylcholine

I watched the video that starts this thread. Stanislaw Burzynski? Really? Quite an accomplishment to win a James Randi award and be named one of Houston's 10 biggest embarrassments. Trust me, I've lived in Houston. Fine city, but lots of competition in the embarrassment market.

Big-Data Quest: precision medicine

http://www.theatlantic.com/video/index/471861/precision-medicine-explained/ Dr. James Hamblin and President Obama discuss precision medicine. At 2:29, President Obama, "So much of what we label as a health-care system is actually more of a disease-care system. . . . Precision medicine . . . is...

Re: Magic Shows & Chocolate versus research grants

Yeah, I've had more than enough of "walking for the cure" and wearing lapel ribbons. It's safe to say that everyone is now aware of Alzheimer's Disease. It's time to fund bio research, at all levels; ie, basic, proof-of-concept, and translational. If you haven't linked your Amazon account ...

Re: Alpha lipoic acid

Stavia -- you might want to search a few bodybuilder forums for info. These guys have been n=1 on this trinity for years and years: alpha lipoic acid, n-acetyl-cysteine, acetyl l-carnitine. Reddit is always a good start, altho you'll need to separate the wheat from the chaff. Bodybuilding, at heart,...

Magic Shows & Chocolate versus research grants

Shake-up in the Alzheimer's Association -- big chapters split away in favor of new research and national association plans to standardize approach. Seems to boil down to "Magic Shows & Chocolate" versus research grants. IMO, my dollars go to Cure Alzheimer's Fund at curealz.org, where ...

Re: Intriguing new mitochondrial research...

LG1 asked for info re mitochondrial support: Generally, I'm loathe to purchase self-published material, but The Alzheimer's Antidote is an exception. The author (Amy Berger) gathers most of the available info in one spot, albeit at a 40,000 mile view. I'd recommend beginning with her more technical ...

Re: Dr. Bredesen's new company

A bit confused about mobile app partnership with Fanfare Entertainment, a company that licenses mobile app to monetize fanbase for entertainment industry? Is the new company going to be a cognition game? Surely not the "do puzzles" solution you criticized in your lovely MEND speech. Or is ...
