Hi Brooke! Turmeric works best in combination with Bioperine (black pepper). If you add turmeric spice to your cooking, add black pepper. If you take turmeric as a supplement, the supplement bioperine is very inexpensive.

I wasn't much impressed by Isaacson's paper, either, and agree with your reasoning. Thanks for looking at the footnotes in detail.

Kirkland Signature (Costco's brand) is a good value, and like Stavia, if I eat a can of sardines or other fatty fish, I don't take the pill that day.
