Re: APOE4 people smarter?

Dr. Nadir Mir Ali claims most APOE4 people are smarter than APOE3 or 2 people! See this new video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wXOMwxMdW0 I think this talk was from the Low Carb conference just last week in Denver, since it was posted March 17, so I'll copy Theresa B and Tincup, two of our Mo...

Re: New here? Some Best Practices

I know there is a correlation between hearing loss and dementia and I am wondering how important it is that I consider getting hearing aids, even though I am functioning well at this point. Having witnessed the challenges hearing loss has presented to those that I've known and the benefits received...

Re: Helping others in the face of Covid-19

We've decided to give money to organizations that are tackling food insecurity. Money will be incredibly important for nonprofits supporting those without the resources to get through this pandemic. There are many groups to donate to directly both locally and nationally, or consider teaming up with...

Re: Does having APOE4 protect you from getting the Coronavirus? .... Maybe

If we’re “good” ApoE4s, having read the primer, following the advice there and from Dr Bredesen, we have concentrated on insulin sensitivity and have low HbA1cs and according to this David Sinclair tweet thread, that is helpful with this virus sinclair 1.jpg sinclair 2.jpg sinclair 3.jpg If you can'...

Re: Denver lunchtime meet-up March 14th 2020 (or Low Carb conference meet-up)

Correction about parking. I had said the garage entrance at the Sheraton is off Court Place (one way street) that is incorrect it is off 15th St (one way) just before getting to Court Place. With the volleyball tournament cancelled, parking shouldn't be hard to get, $12 all day at the Sheraton, chea...

Still happening!!!

Despite growing concerns over the coronavirus, the show will go on! The Low Carb Denver conference is still happening, I will still be attending, as will Tincup, and we will still be having an ApoE4 lunchtime meet-up coincident with the conference THIS Saturday.

Re: Denver lunchtime meet-up March 14th 2020 (or Low Carb conference meet-up)

I'm new to this forum - both my parents are APOE 4/4, and my mom shared this post with me. I am relatively new to the world of APOE-4's and would love to meet for lunch. I live in Denver. Christieppic, Would love to meet up with you! So far it's just you, me and Tincup. I'm 4/4 and Tincup is 3/4, w...

Re: how do you keep your hba1c values low?

Hi everybody as a 73 y old apoe4/3 carrier i try to keep my hba1c optimal, ie smaller than the 5.6 prescribed by the ReCode Protocol. I eat a low carb diet and 3/4 of the time stick to a 16/8 intermittent fasting. But my values do not drop, they rose slightly in the last 3 year from 5.7 to 5.8. I c...
