Re: new e3/e4

Red wine does have bit of resveratrol which helps activate Sirt1 (a good thing for ApoE4s). The amount probably isn’t enough to justify drinking a glass of red wine a day to be beneficial for ApoE4s, but I do it anyway. Dr Bredesen addressed alcohol in the Q&A session he held for us last month. ...

Re: new e3/e4

Nancy referenced Dr Gundry's recent presentation which addresses recommended dietary strategies for APoE4s. FYI, it can be found https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Bfr9RPq0HFg

And needless to say I am not exercising right now, I'm at the tire store :(

Re: new e3/e4

On the controllable lifestyle factors, and without searching/reading through this entire forum, can someone give me an approximate summary of what the prevailing priority of lifestyle choices people in this forum are making? You ask the same question we all have asked and continue to ask. :D I thin...

Re: 2016 Ancestral Health Meetup - Stavia's blog

Another Vitamin D datapoint for Nancy. Dr Gundry likes Vitamin D levels to be between 70 and 100. My first test measured out at 30. Dr Gundry put me on 5,000 IUs/day which bumped it up to 50, better but still not at his desired level. So Dr Gundry had me alternate 5,000 and 10,000 IUs daily. My last...

Re: Recommendations for a good Grape Seed Extract

Apod, In our consultations (GeorgeN and me) with Dr Gundry, and in his presentation at the Ancestral Health Symposium (AHS16) he just says to take Grape Seed Extract. Sometimes with supplements he'll suggest a brand name or say, "buy the cheapest available." He's made no such qualification...

Re: 2016 Ancestral Health Meetup - Stavia's blog

If anyone had a problem with the links in my previous posts in trying to listen to the Q&A sessions with Dr Gundry and/or Dr Bredesen, try again. Someone with a Mac complained they couldn't due to incompatibility. I converted the files to MP3, which is more universal and should work now. Sorry f...
