Re: Results after 16 Months Carnivore - Good, Bad, Ugly

BTL-34, Thank you for sharing. I have to admit a 40% progression in your CAC scan is very concerning. While I know many folks both who cite praises of a carnivore diet, one of the things that concerns me, and I don't think there’s enough evidence yet to pass full judgement on this, is the effect on ...

Re: using mct to achieve mild ketosis

But I can't find any specifics as to how to do this. How much MCT? When do I take it? (when breaking a fast or later in the day?)) You might want to read the wiki article Coconut Oil, MCT oil, and other Ketone/Cognition Boosters (salts, esters) as recommended above. Regarding MCT oil it says, "...

Re: Non-Bluetooth Sleep Trackers

I hope Oura will come out with a minipetite version for my little fingers. Some say that bands around one's wrist (along with tight bras, waistbands and the like) impede lymph flow. Don't know how big of a potential issue that is, but I'm all about lymph :D They do have quite a few different sizes....

Re: apoe4, breast cancer and sleep apnea.

I read recently that apoe4 increases the risk of sleep apnea and also breast cancer, as if we didn`t already have enough health risks to contend with! why would this be? I've heard the sleep apnea connection before from sleep expert Mathew Walker, PhD, but not the breast cancer association. Could y...

Re: Gathering Recipes—I need your help!

Janét Kniss who is ApoE4 sensitive with her recipes probably wouldn't mind more subscribers to her YouTube channel: Janét Kniss The Chocolate Dessert Nut Bark looks delicious!
As they get posted, I've been adding links to the recipes in the ApoE4 wiki:

Re: Gundry internet ads

I can get blown with the wind and since I just read on Pritikin's site that ALL fat, including olive oil's monosaturated fat, was bad for the heart and arteries, it threw me. Do you eat eggs? Gundry says they are good, still so much popular literature makes them out to be bad here in the States. I ...

I would love to, but the cost involved is more than just the conference.

Re: Gundry internet ads

I wanted to see the recipes first and it won't allow me to. I am hoping this is finally a book we Apoe4's can use. And by that, I mean low saturated fat. There are lots of recipes in the “Eat Rich, Live Long” book and each is accompanied by wonderful full page color pictures. However, the book isn’...
