Re: Helping my father
...he has a very set schedule, which helps him be a bit more independent, and also helps him stay grounded. This schedule revolves mostly around food, and every meal has specific foods. Even if he were able to let go of the treats, almost everything else he eats contains sugar- the cereal, the soym...

Long story short, my A1C did not improve, so here I am....

Hi Laurie, I have questions about the Britta filter. I have a Woder undersink filter and they say it filters out aluminum. I don't know if your husband has tested that filter to see if that is accurate? If my filter already filters out aluminum, do I need to perform the Britta step? Or will the wat...

Re: DTC (Direct to Consumer) DNA testing and College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
I am wondering if anyone has had positive experiences in British Columbia, I could possibly get a referral if I could identify a suitable practitioner. I am in Kelowna, about 5 hours from Vancouver. I have stepped things up on the "lifestyle" side; I thought I was doing better but then go...

Re: my lab results, and changes
Hi MattCo, So, the diet changes have really only been in place for 2 weeks (and it's clear I was hooked on carbs). How long does it take these numbers to change? I'm under the impression that the insulin takes a long time. I whole-heartedly agree with NF52's assessment of your progress. Great work! ...

There are many helpful links here that I will check out. With two young children, travel is fairly limited these days but within a few ye...
