Re: MindCrowd -- spend ten minutes, cure AD!

@Gilgamesh I think it looks very good to me. I think the message comes across well in language people will understand. I think the words "homozygotes" and "heterozygotes" could have something like (one copy of e4) or (2 copies of e4) next to the first occurrence so that people do...

Re: Michael's Intro

@Michael your change in triglycerides and HDL was impressive. I saw that you read "Grain Brain". Are you going wheat free? It was so beneficial for me.

Re: What are you eating day to day?

@Julie I don't remember having my cholesterol taken when I was 50. If it was taken in earlier years I don't believe I was told the numbers. Eliminating wheat is the most effective thing for me diet wise. When I eat wheat all I want is more wheat. I am sure I was a wheat addict. I have read that olde...

Re: My List

@Julie Thanks for the supplement list. I'm going to read about the ones that are new to me. I will ask my doctor about them. You are such an inspiration for all of us to have had such severe symptoms and to have been so diligent in your recovery. It is one thing to have researchers tell us you can c...

Re: Suggested tests for E4s

Julie,
Thanks for the list. I had to look up A1C on Google. I'll have to see if I've had it. Almost every day I'm looking up terms that are new to me from this site. It is a good mental workout to combine with Lumosity.

Re: New study on nut consumption

@MarkES thanks for the information about zinc and copper. This is another reminder that I need to have testing to see what my zinc, copper and other things that are not reported on the more standard blood tests. I am watching for the
recommended tests that are being suggested by the group.

What are you eating day to day?

All my life I struggled with weight. I started dieting at 11. I have only one fat grandparent and that is the one that I take after. She must have been about 100 pounds overweight. My great grandmother on that side was even heavier. I am sure I gained and lost tons. Because I had dieted so much, I k...

Re: Schnooks intro

Welcome Schnooks. I'm the 77 year old, well almost. When I signed up for 23andme every ID I chose had been taken before. I thought I liked Starfish best so I decided to add my age to make my ID distinct. Starfish76 sounds like a leftover from the Revolutionary War. Starfish77 sounded better anyway. ...
