Re: Success with ReCODE
Who has had great success with Bredesen's ReCODE protocol? Who hasn't? What is your story in that regard? Hi Emmanuel, My parents have been doing the Bredesen Protocol for my mom (age 85 now) for about 3 years. She had been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment and while her cognition did contin...

Re: Genetic Risk Factor for Covid-19
So I did it. Interestingly the report shows rs2070788 as AG while a search of the raw .txt file or my Promethease report for rs2070788 comes up empty. So I wonder where their report gets the AG? I found rs2070788 in my Promethease report. I pasted the string in the search window at the top and hit ...

It might be worth getting a new 23andme report using your existing data, to take advantage of software updates that might pick up more information. I did that a while back at no additional cost.Plumster wrote:
Thanks, I just tried and nothing came up. My 23andme report is from 2017.

Re: Check out our new podcast
And in the podcast, he commented on people who have high HDL cholesterol and low triglycerides probably having good plasminogen levels. Do those plasmologens not get to the brain? From the excellent show notes : 34:38 Dr G – Plasmalogens are made in the peroxisomes of our body. If you have high HDL...

Re: Check out our new podcast
Could you say which DHA supplement you're taking, Julie G? DebbieG, from multiple chats with Dr. Goodenowe on this subject, he agrees with Rhonda Patrick that we need DHA in phospholipid form but he doesn't believe that either the supplement or plasmalogens from animal protein survives our stomach ...

Re: Check out our new podcast
Thank you to all those who worked to bring us this info! It was a mind-bender for me, I loved it! I have a question though, if you take the plasmalogen supplement, would you discontinue taking an Omega 3 supplement? Great question! A small group of us, who supported Dr. Goodenowe and got early acce...

Re: Strategies for getting Bloodwork covered by Insurance
So I went to the doctor for the first time in 19 years to see if I could get any bloodwork. I explained my family history of Alzheimers, Cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, cancer and diabetes. He said that means nothing and only approved a basic lipid panel. I have paid into the healthcar...

Re: Free virtual guided mindfulness meditation meet-up, anyone?
Hi all, I got potential dates from Maria, the mindfulness instructor. Unfortunately, she is not available on weekends. 3/9, 3/11, 3/16, 3/18 ( Mondays and Wednesdays) anytime between 4 and 9 eastern standard time I attached Maria's bio. I'm interested and should be able to make any of these times.
