Re: Long term use of statins & BP meds do NOT reduce risk for dementia

Julie, this is a very interesting study and of significant interest to me. Thank you for finding and posting it. With heart disease being my biggest mortality risk (both mom and grandmother died at 42 of CAD) and me showing signs that I inherited that heart at 14 years old, I have been on BP medicat...

Re: Brain Health - Exploring the role of Cannabis in treating serious diseases

Thank you, I just skimmed it and will deep dive it later. Interesting that the Spartans are focusing on the THC and the wiki speaks more to the CBD.

More to learn and study in this journey.

Re: Just found out :(

Wow What have you done about sharing this information with your friends? For the most part, I am keeping quiet about this until I learn more. I live in Michigan and am headed to warmth and FL at the end of the week to visit my closest friend and her husband who is also a close friend of mine (I int...

Re: Cost comparison: different sources of phospholipid-bound omega-3

I thank you for this continued research and analysis. I am a non-fish eater trying to figure out how to get up to the recommended level of DHA that my brain and body can use. A daunting task. Eat 10+ eggs a day? Doesn't seem like a good plan!

Re: Just found out :(

Thanks I will do that. Interesting, I am a celiac carrier. Also just found that out through 23 and me. Haven’t focused on it or read much about it as the APOE has dominated my thoughts. Wonder if there’s any connection. Probably should learn more about that. Celiac Disease is in the family of autoi...

Re: Just found out :(

I appreciate both of your input and think you both make very valid points. Both my kids (ages 27 and 29) and my brother (54) live healthy lives so I don't believe any lifestyle changes need to be made at this point. . For right now I am saying nothing unless they ask at which time I will be honest....

Re: Just found out :(

Thanks so much. I will read later. Trying to absorb right now. I have 2 boys ages 27 and 29. Trying to figure out whether to tell them Thoughts? They know we took the test but thinking I'm going to wait to see if they ask. What have others done and what reactions have they gotten. If my husband has...

Welcome, I am also a newbie just starting down this e3/e4 road so I have little to offer except this is an excellent resource with many gifted contributors. Your use of the word scattered connected with me. I do not know if any of this applies to you but I found a significant negative change in my f...

Coronary CT Calcium Scan - looks for calcium deposits in the coronary arteries. Insurance often doesn't cover it but it is around $125 in my area.
