Re: Stavia's Vegetarian very low fat trial

Stavia you have nausea from stress or from diet or both? Are you having trouble with fat metabolism? My concern that I just dont see raised here (perhaps I am in the extreme minority, but somehow I doubt it) is how people in their 40s and older can tolerate the large amounts of fiber and starch in a...

Re: Diet help. Please post what is working for you!

Julie thanks. Interesting about the cortisol. I sleep well with shorter fasts of 14 hours max but have yet to go to 16 which is my goal. What cortisol test does your doctor use? I will have to ask at my next appointment and it is not for almost 3 more weeks. Also, thanks for the tip on Power Adapt I...

Re: Diet help. Please post what is working for you!

P45VA I cant speak for others here, but for me I am still working on getting my BMI a little lower. It crept up in the past 5 years (between ages 45 and 50). I tried keto with bulletproof and if anything I GAINED weight. My body wanted to put those extra fat calories right around my middle! :o It wa...

Re: New Gundry Book - The Plant Paradox

Hi George! Per Gundry's comment on gut health in later life, and lectins, I wonder how we can really know what is causing the decline in gut health over a lifetime? There are so many assaults on the gut: Chlorinated water, antibiotics, birth control pills, NSAIDS, poor diet, stress, pathogens (paras...

Re: New Gundry Book - The Plant Paradox

Hi Julie! My apologies for any confusion. Yes I jumped into the Matrix Forum (not realizing there is another one, so I will have a look at the one you mentioned). George and Julie, yes absorption of protein for those with long history of gut issues is a very big issue. The Integrative and functional...

Re: New Gundry Book - The Plant Paradox

Waves back, Julie! Yes, I thought it odd that the first three posts i read today in his FB group were about people or their family members having gut trouble on Gundry approach. Also people not tolerating resistant starch. Interesting. Glad to hear you have had such good success with your labs even ...

Re: New Gundry Book - The Plant Paradox

Russ I agree with you. And having been hanging in the Matrix FB group for a bit, I am stumped at how people follow dietary advice in the absence of their own symptom feedback. There are lots of people complaining about losing foods and having digestive and histamine symptoms following Gundry. While ...

Re: Dr. Kara Fitzgerald Interviews Dr. Carrie Jones about the Dutch hormone test

All the integrative doctors i know use this test as well as the best health coaches I know. They say it has been invaluable for better understanding their client's overall health picture. My health coach uses it and i plan to have it done soon.

Re: New book: "Mold Illness: Surviving and Thriving - A Recovery Manual for Patients and Families Impacted by CIRS

Good point about the title. Biotoxin illness/CIRS would be more accurate. Having said this, there is a lot of press/discussion about Lyme and not much about mold exposure and sensitivity, which is a huge health issue in the US. But yes. And most of the most difficult cases to treat are those with a ...
