Re: https://alzheimer-prevention.com/
The link to Joe Cohen about mTOR was pretty good. Only big mistake was cortisol raises mTOR, not lowers it. Joe had one excellent item. Lowering mTOR with rapamycin can prevent autism if started soon enough. All about too much mTOR prevents pruning nerve twigs in brain. Unfortunately never had any c...

Re: statins - different approaches for different phases of life?
There is very clear evidence for E4 carriers to use Zocor to prevent death from coronary disease if elevated lipids.
As regards AD in E4 carriers no good studies as E4 and non E4 lumped together.
Best to rely on fact based evidence

Hi Brian,
Tracked down this study. Treatment started young mice equivalent teenagers.
MTOR required for normal growth and development. Rapamycin used to block age related disorders. Would never give to teenager.

Hi Brian, Another paper to review is "a Perfect sTORm: Role of mTOR in cerebrovascular dysfunction in AD, Veronica Galvan (one of AD superstars since 2010). You cite a few ways to achieve reduction mTOR. Ketogenic diet reduces mTOR, again don't know how much. Between CR, special diets (low red ...

Hi Tom. Exactly true. if look at interview by PD Mangan in Rougue Health this weekend see that this why did website. Since 2010 accumulation huge body of basic science studies that rapamycin will prevent AD in APOE4 carriers; but no human studies. As Bob Dylan said, "Money doesn't talk, it curs...
