Re: New Support Team Intern

Deb, with your background as an RN in addition to your Functional Med training, I’m sure you’ll be an asset to our community. I believe your observation below is so on-point: Unfortunately, when we are given a diagnosis it starts to define us. I hope to be able to help you step away from your diagno...

Re: Ann Hathaway / Marin County, CA

He chrisscott and welcome! I am familiar with Dr. Anne Hathaway's work and was fortunate to meet her at a conference back in 2017. After her presentation, some of us were able to chat with her a bit, and I found to be delightful with a wonderful sense of humor, actually. I'm glad to hear you're keep...

Re: New member of the APOE4 FAMILY

Hello Tashabunnz and welcome to our community. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandparents' battle with Alzheimer's and can certainly understand your desire to confirm the accuracy of your ApoE4 result. I learned my E4 status from a routine physical and followed up afterwords with both 23andMe and ...

Re: Generations 1 Update

Wow, sounds very encouraging, lol! Thanks so much for sharing your experiences 2 years in. The improvements you've described in memory & sleep along with "a calm brain" are definitely impressive, and I'm guessing those gains would be worth the side effects for many.

Hello Jim and welcome to the group! First, let me say I am so sorry to hear about your mother. Many of us here know first hand and understand so well how heart wrenching it is to watch a loved one struggle with this disease. As you've spent the last 10-20 years reading and digesting the available Al...

Re: Is Red Wine OK?

Amen to that! As more than one researcher has said to me, we humans - including those of us with E4 - are resilient enough to withstand eating forbidden foods when the occasion arises. Célébrer la vie! And have a fabulous trip, Robin!

Re: Dr. Steven Gundry with diet recommendations for ApoE4

Welcome RobinH from another 4/4 gal who has aspired on occasion to being orthorexic and pretty much failed each time. Life's full of contradictions as we all know, and perhaps mischievously more so for us 4/4s. We tend to feel that we really must be pristine in all areas of our lives at all times to...

simon, I'm curious if there's a specific lab result in circ's panel that you find concerning?
