Re: Is This Under-the-Radar Stock Set to Succeed in Alzheimer's Disease?

I follow this one pretty closely and I am really hoping that when they announce results of their clinical trial at the end of 2021, it is good news for all of us. The interesting twist to this 'gingipain hypothesis' of AD is that it completely explains why E4s are so heavily hit by AD... Family Tre...

Re: Coffee and fasting

If only we could test for autophagy! I have a bulletproof coffee and a second black coffee before eating my first meal at noon, and the idea of being up working for several hours before even having coffee is grim to contemplate. Based on what Mike said, I think I'll do some glucose checks one day so...

Re: Prolon Mimicking Diet

http://agingadvice.org/FMD-Recipes.html I'd agree with Tincup, fasting is VASTLY easier! Just drink lots of sparkling water, with a pinch of salt added. I've done the diet above a few times and the real ProLon once. Honestly, you just feel hungry ALL the time! However, when water fasting, hunger di...

Re: Help from Amen Clinic for elderly parent?

Thanks very much, NF52. I really appreciate your post. What you say about the vestibular system is really interesting. Due to an inner ear tumor she had removed many years ago, she doesn't have a functioning vestibular system on one side. So she's already at a disadvantage balance-wise. Due to a rec...

Help from Amen Clinic for elderly parent?

My 3/4 mom, age 85, is not doing well recently. She's had a couple of falls, and her cognition has declined. My dad has been doing his best to do the Bredesen protocol with her. He's worked incredibly hard - it's taken over their lives for the last three years, but she needs something more. We're th...

Re: Fitness and Dementia Study

Measuring CV fitness does not need to be difficult, it easy to do for us all. We actually measure it in our consulting room with a step and iPhone app. May not be 100% accurate to a lab ands analysis but who is going to spend £500 getting that done. CV fitness can also be measured in the field with...

Re: Fermentation Classes in Seattle in October

Thanks very much, CarrieS , for a great fermentation class. I can't wait to try the cranberry relish especially! Also thank you for arranging the class and community room kitchen, Berri. It was really nice to talk with you and CarrieS, and Donna enjoyed the afternoon as well.
