Re: ACK! Worse Numbers
The other thing I really missed was chip and salsa/guac, fortunately a family in Texas (kids had auto-immunes issues) created wonderful almond/cassava chips cooked on avocado oil (Siete), they are just as good as the flour or corn variety, if not better. They also have tortilla's which are wonderfu...

Re: Sam I am
Welcome, Sam! Very excited to have you in the community. And I am doubly hopeful that your Dr both attended a Dr B seminar and then came back right away to tell you about it. Very positive news that the word is spreading effectively!

Re: ACK! Worse Numbers
I concur with what everyone else has said. IMO your LDL-P and small LDL-P are reasonable and nothing to worry about. I know from a Gundry perspective, he'd absolutely love your TG/HDL ratio of 36/62=0.58. This is wonderful. He could care less about the LDL-P and small LDL-P at the levels you have. ...

Re: Omega 3 confusion.
It would be ideally to intake everything the body needs from food, but like we know that's not always possible. Just want to quickly note that in this particular case, it actually is possible to get your omega 3's from food most of the time. Throw a can of sardines on your salads, and you won't hav...

Re: RE: Re: Stavia's report on AHSNZ17 - Ancestral Health New Zealand Conference 2017
Russ it was difficult to understand but I'll try. Its one of the current sociological theories about health. Neoliberalism says its about the individual. Individual choices are paramount. But there are a bewildering amount of choices. Capitalism is very good at exploiting so many choices. Weight lo...

So... what are the most important messages for me? 1. I'm not doing enough exercise. It is critically important 2. insulin resistance is bad in more ways than I thought 3. connection with the natural environment is crucial for health and one should listen to rivers speak 4. being healthy in our mod...

Re: Forrests, Trees, and Saturated Fat
I quite agree with the general advise emerging - the current state is that we just don't (yet) know. Meanwhile, we all have to eat, and my own current strategy is likely closest to MarkR's, but also well expressed by apod - "just eat real food." I think there's a lot of common ground there...

Re: Julie - and Dr Bredesen - on Dr Oz show tomorrow
There was lots of Jerry Springer drama that was thankfully cut out. I am so glad. My friend and business partner did an episode on grassfed beef last year, and they definitely went the "Jerry Springer" route with that one. But this made your episode stand in even starker contrast. Aside f...

Re: Julie - and Dr Bredesen - on Dr Oz show tomorrow
Julie, Just watched. Simply outstanding! You inspire me, Julie :-). So well done. I know this will attract some and possibly even many critics, but it will also open up doors for people who really need help. I know this wasn't easy going so public, but you rocked it, Julie! Thank you so much for hel...

Re: New Gundry Book - The Plant Paradox
W/r to earlier conversations about Neu5gc, picking up on pasted comments from Gundry in the broths and organ meats thread, enabled me to find the source article wherein he referred to this recent 2017 paper which looks pretty good... "Biochemical, Cellular, Physiological, and Pathological Conse...
