Re: Dr. Rhonda: Get some DHA in phospholipid form
I've been taking the Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Phospholipids supplement. Has anyone tried the Vital Choice salmon roe she uses? I've tried salmon roe from a local natural grocer and I wasn't very happy with the taste. I am by no means a caviar aficionado but it would be nice to know if the Vital Choic...

Re: Vitamin A protects cognition in E4 carriers
Thanks for sharing this Julie! I am TT for the rs12934922 SNP. I appear to not be deficient in any of the others. A big part of why I eat sweet potato is that they are absolutely loaded with vitamin A. 1 cup of sweet potato has nearly 19,000 IU of Vitamin A. Happy to help! I think this may be impor...

Re: New an trying the Keto diet
Hello tyannda, One book you may want to consider checking out is Valter Longo's book the Longevity Diet. He is a leading researcher on the impact fasting has on our genes with regard to cellular aging and disease. His book also covers using fasting prior to cancer treatment to help kill off the canc...

Re: APOE 3/4 - Gundry Protocol - Elevated LDL-P and APO-B
Sounds like you've done a ton of research already! I think Attia is obviously a heavyweight and his 9 part series on cholesterol got me interested in all this in the first place. I have a ton of respect for what he says and it's interesting to see how the camps have aligned -- how Ivor Cummins / Fe...

Re: APOE 3/4 - Gundry Protocol - Elevated LDL-P and APO-B
Hi socal guy. (I'm in LA actually). I have a 1950 LDL-P eating LHCF and found comfort in Davis Feldman's research. Browse cholesterolcode.com Certainly this is a contentious topic but LDL-P, according to Feldman is not the most relevant metric to focus on. It, like LDL-C can be manipulated easily b...

Re: APOE 3/4 - Gundry Protocol - Elevated LDL-P and APO-B
Thanks for the feedback NF52! I have actually done the coronary calcium scans. My first one back in August 2016 was a zero which was a big relief given my elevated cholesterol levels. I had another one done in July this year and the score went up to 5. So still not a massive concern, but a move in a...

Re: APOE 3/4 - Gundry Protocol - Elevated LDL-P and APO-B
So I've violated the Gundry protocol in a few ways; the good news is the results have been worth the deviation. Long story short is I've gone moderate fat (primarily monounsatured), low protein and moderately high carbohydrate intake. I am also taking 5mg of Crestor. My LDL-P has dropped by 25% and ...

Re: Dr. Steven Gundry with diet recommendations for ApoE4
Agree Jafa, thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to reading up on Theresa and Tincup's meetings with Dr. Gundry. I watch all of Dr. Gundry's videos and podcast appearances so it's great to get additional info. I do plan on scheduling a meeting with him myself.

Re: Peter Attia's AMA #3: supplements, women’s health, patient care, and more
Yeah, I have really enjoyed his podcasts. I found this one particularly helpful because he gave an overview of his reference ranges in terms of what he likes to see with his patients. It would be cool if at some point he did a podcast with Dr. Gundry. Attia really understands the lipid side of thing...
