Re: Toenail fungus - any implications for AD?
Hi, My understanding is that they only call it toenail fungus when it's confined to the toes, but that the same fungus can spread to other areas of skin, at which time it takes on some other name. I learned this because I've had a fungal rash on my upper body lately, and the cream the doctor gave m...

Toenail fungus - any implications for AD?
Hi, I've read that brain autopsies of elderly adults with Alzheimer's contained some types of fungi (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5976758/). I'm wondering if toenail fungus (onychomycosis) can make it to the brain. I didn't find any indication it can in an internet search, so maybe i...

Prodrome blood test results, initial and over time
Hi All, My parents recently got the Prodrome blood scan, after which we met with Dr. Goodenowe. Mom and Dad are doing a very conscientious job following the Bredesen protocol to the best of their ability, and the results showed good numbers for most categories. I felt their results confirmed the val...

Re: The unmapped chemical complexity of our diet
I found this open access discussion piece very interesting. https://www.nature.com/articles/s43016-019-0005-1 The unmapped chemical complexity of our diet. Albert-László Barabási, Giulia Menichetti & Joseph Loscalzo Nature Food volume 1, pages 33–37(2020) Abstract Our understanding of how diet ...

Re: New Viome offering
My daughter did the new Viome test. It covered a lot of aspects of gut health, provided some cellular health info, and made food recommendations. For those they included a rationale for each item based on testing and reporting on a questionnaire. It looks useful to me and I might also get it. She d...

Re: Recommended Blood Tests
I have an appointment with my new general practitioner in 10 days and want to present him with a list of blood work I am requesting to detect which of the 36 holes in the roof I need to patch. The Bredesen book goes into daunting detail but I have not been able to find a simple, unadorned list of b...

Does NTFactor work similarly to plasmalogens?
Hi, I recently tried Ari Whitten's Energenesis (https://www.theenergyblueprint.com/energenesis-new/) product. I had been having a problem with word-finding and slow recall, and after I used it for a couple of weeks I noticed these issues were much better. I might have also been more consistent in my...
