Help understanding my lipid profile and statin choices?
I’m looking for authoritative documentation of Dr. Bredesen’s advice not to lower total cholesterol below 150. I’ve read the wiki entry on lipids several times. I need evidence for my cardiologist. I’m 69 year old male, APOE 4/4, controlled hypertension, controlled T2D (H1Bac always 5.7), eating low...

Re: Cost comparison: different sources of phospholipid-bound omega-3
The same French? wholesaler provides this product to Euromega and in the the US to Terry Naturally as Vectomega. It does look promising. It contains titanium oxide and iron oxide (rust) if that matters to you. For my original analysis, I contacted both outfits noting that they listed phospholipids, ...

Re: Cost comparison: different sources of phospholipid-bound omega-3
I found information about the phospholipid-bound content of DHA and EPA in Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Phospholipids (NN O-3 P). I’ve been spending time on this for my own benefit and for a female relative planning a baby. Trying to find best quality for best price over the long run. I do have other int...

Re: Cost comparison: different sources of phospholipid-bound omega-3
Maybe you could eat 2-3 omega-3 eggs most days for some phospholipid-DHA (and EPA), and supplement further with algal triglyceride-DHA (and EPA) which is vegan.

Re: Cost comparison: different sources of phospholipid-bound omega-3
A herring-roe extract contained in two US retail products is among the more economical sources for phospholipid-bound DHA and EPA, the kind that is supposedly better taken up by APOE 4s. Revised Summary: Cost of DHA-PL $24 per gram - salmon roe $12 per gram - krill oil $6-13? per gram - canned ancho...

I recommend you steer clear of this product as it makes fake health claims. Please don't fall for it. Read about it here: http://earlightswindle.com/gloom/2018/02/humanchargers-global-breakthrough-fake/ That website is devoted to preventing people from being swindled by 'ear light' health claims. I...
