Re: Zero carb diet will help prevent Alzheimer’s
I don't believe we evolved from plant-eating apes, but that's another discussion. You've piqued my curiosity. Tell me more. I believe there is a Creator of time and space. I believe in history, not conjecture about prehistoric times. That means I believe there really was a Martin Luther King, reall...

Re: Zero carb diet will help prevent Alzheimer’s
I still don't know of any long-lived populations who exclusively eat meat. Do you? Hi Julie, I don't believe we evolved from plant-eating apes, but that's another discussion. Dr. Berry, among others, refers to these populations (I haven't researched them independently): "The Inuit tribes of th...

Re: RE: Zero carb diet will help prevent Alzheimer’s
For those of you on a strict cholestorol restricting diet, I strongly recommend that you reconsider. ... Look into carnivore/zero carb diets. It may possibly save your brain. Thank you, Meatsavesbrains. I agree with you and I disagree with the response from @TheresaB. It is really hard to stand aga...

I'm a 3/4 currently on a carnivore diet. For those of you who are open to the concept, here is an interesting link to a Research Article in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease: https://content.iospress.com/articles/journal-of-alzheimers-disease/jad180919 published 29 March 2019. "very low meat c...

Re: Study of AD brain MRIs over time
Every cardiologist seems to think he is a good one. Many or most are clueless, to be polite.
Here is an expert IMHO

Save your life or a loved one's life, as low as $59 at a local hospital, no doctor's order needed.

Re: Intermittent Fasting
My opinion is that you will get benefit each day you do it. Many people do it seven days per week for years. An easy book is Delay Don't Deny by Gin Stephens. Dr. Jason Fung is an authority with several books and videos. You'll also hear OMAD for One Meal A Day and IF for Intermittent Fasting. With ...

Re: Indianapolis area meetup
I'll second Julie G's assessment. We had about 3 hours of animated, friendly and helpful conversation. Imagine seven smart superwomen and this old guy. j/k I really did enjoy it. A really broad cross section of diets and protocols and experience, and I learned a lot. And these are nice people.

I'm also 3/4 with a huge number of relatives due to my Pennsylvania Dutch background. This has been a big concern for me, and I hope you get a lot of responses. I decided to give each one a trigger warning, often by email or text to encourage a thoughtful response. This is what I told them: ********...

Agreed, recommended, also Duhigg's book on which this builds.
