Re: High Homocysteine Possible Deficiencies

On my most recent (as well as past) DUTCH (dry urine test for comprehensive hormones), my methylation activity based on estrogen phase 1 metabolism indicates low activity. The recent Methylmalonate (MMA) result on DUTCH was slightly above range, indicating Vitamin B12 deficiency. Vitamin B6 markers,...

Re: study: Tb vaccine lowers AD risk.

The article cites this [paywalled] 2015 paper: Bacterial infection and Alzheimer's disease: a meta-analysis. which provides this finding in the abstract "We found over a five-fold increased occurrence of AD with Cpn [Chlamydophila pneumoniae] infection (OR: 5.66; 95% CI: 1.83-17.51). Many kind...

Re: How do specificity and sensitivity work with lab testing?

I found Peter Attia's explanation and modifiable spread sheet helpful. The accuracy of lab tests depends on how common the condition is in the community (prevalence).

Re: Help for my Mom 350 miles away

I I actually asked her neurologist about the type of testing and dietary and supplements that ReCODE looks at and he said he did not do that type of work. He referred us to a clinic in Grand Rapids (her neurologist is the only one in town) that I have set up an appointment with in early July. But t...

Re: How to change size of lipid particles

Plenty of people take statins anyway, and joined with genetic info which everyone on this website has, we could probably settle once and for all if it works - in a year or two. Hi Eric; Not everyone on this site has gotten their ApoE4 genetic information, let alone a genetic deeper dive with someth...

That would be fantastic. Thanks in advance. It's wonderful that these talks are open to the public, even if for a limited time.
