Re: E4: why no urgent push for structure correctors, gene editting?
................ So I've been paying special attention to studies I find showing that good things seem to come from (a) reducing apoe4 levels, (b) "correcting" apoe4 structure to be "E3-like" using small molecules, and (c) what seems like the futuristic approach to gene edit apo...

Re: Gene editing solution not far away?
LG1 welcome back to the forum! Thank you J11! I still have a lot of other things going on but miss being involved here. I am so excited about what is happening now in IQ genetics!!! I get the excitement as well as why people might be inclined to freak out over this, I have no idea how we wi...

Re: Gene editing solution not far away?
Fiver, it is comforting to know there are others with a strong interest in this specific use for CRISPR. I am fascinated. I will be watching for Dr. Huang/Gladstone's next step. I plan on approaching these and other experts in this research via email to find more information on what is in store soon...

Re: Gene editing solution not far away?
I have been absent on this forum for a long time, perhaps a year or so. J11 and I used to do a bit of back and forth with a very fascinating Alz snp list. That was very interesting. A user friendly version was never fully published by the research team unless I am unaware? I have not had the opportu...

Some of us have given blood to E-Scape Bio to work on this approach pursuant to Huang’s work. You can search the forum for it. I’m not sure if they need more volunteers. I also participated in the Escape Bio study (gave blood sample) It must be a different study from the same researcher using skin ...

Re: Brainstorming about our 2017 meet-up!
Does anyone have an email address or other way of contacting Dr. Rhonda Patrick? I could ask Dr. Krauss... EDIT: Russ came up with: info@found.fitness.com. He's approached her on our behalf with no success in the past :( . I'm crossing my fingers and toes. She'd be great for a round table discussio...

Re: The Dynamic Brain Conference in LA this Summer
What a pain in the butt our group will be at any restaurant, can you imagine? Depending on my mood I can either just go with the flow or quiz the waiter about what oils they use and where they source their proteins etc..
Should be fun, lol.

Re: Could Trazadone protect the brain from neurodegeneration?
Trazadone is also listed as a class 1 on the ABC ( Aging Brain Care) chart found here:
http://www.agingbraincare.org/uploads/p ... l_size.pdf as it is a possible anticholinergic.
Hey, maybe it helps cause Alzheimer's and then just prevents the disease's symptoms.
