Re: Intro, Aloha ApoE4

I've also been very intrigued by your (Sandy's) story. Congratulations on Sandy's noticeable improvements. I have 2 female relatives who've had silicone implants for over 30 years without any "maintenance". Both show(ed) leaks. However one of them, (my relative) passed with a brain tumor, ...

Re: GG rs9472817 annuls APOE epsilon 4 risk? Wo Hoo!

J11. I checked my father's v4 chip and he's homozygous for all three snps. So for the chart or table you're working on you could add my 4/4 father who is 75 yrs and myself 4/4, 51 yrs with the same snps. I see Lance above as a 4/4 has the same. So that's three 4/4's right here and probably more who ...

Re: GG rs9472817 annuls APOE epsilon 4 risk? Wo Hoo!

Agreed, preliminary results. I checked rs9472817 for myself and family members. For myself as a 4/4, I am GG. My mother and daughter both 3/4 are CG. My husband 3/3 is CG. My father, a 4/4, was genotyped on a later 23andme chip and rs 9472817 does not appear to be on that chip.

Susan, agree with the Eddie dynamic, for the most part. But a new love would really help Hubby, just saying :D. I totally understand the dilemma though. I have a two year old dachshund, Stihl, who absolutely has my heart! I've never seen a dog more human like than this one; literally everyone who me...

Re: Alpha lipoic acid

Off topic.... Reddit is my new addiction....so many smart and witty posters; also features the very best and the very worst humanity has to offer. Stumbled on stuff I wish I could "unread"! I've been on NAC for two years, it's one of my three never miss supps (along with dha, curcumin). My...

Julie..."super sucky genes"... I'm stealing it!! I'm in that same club, every bad damn snp each of my parents had, they gifted to me. In my family, I won the "super sucky gene" lottery, but I'm the sweetest one !

Re: Update on my ongoing cancer evaluation...

Circ, as Star said, the waiting is the worst. Maybe a couple of really compelling fiction reads, and a few good movies will help pass the time. Exercise and deep breathing will help. I'm feeling hopeful that all is well!

Welcome Cat! In addition to what others have suggested for your thoughtful consideration, are you on any type of HRT? I'm newly menopausal and I think estradiol might make a difference in menopausal brain fog. However, HRT is not a decision to be taken lightly as I'm sure you're aware. Just throwing...

@Gene...right?! It's always such a hard thing, deciding when (or if) to get another pet. But new love....powerful stuff...wish we could bottle it and take a sip every day!

Doing ok Susan? I know the everyday rituals are the hardest...
