Re: Gundry internet ads

Have you tried switching the good fat/lean protein breakdown, to instead 70% lean protein/20% good fat/10% carbs You seem to be doing everything right, so it doesn't make sense that the 70% good fat breakdown isn't working, which suggests to me that your body is not using the fats for fuel but inst...

Re: Aluminum as a causal factor of Alzheimer's - Introduction of myself to the community

You may be OK as some wrappers have a lining over the aluminum so the chocolate doesn't come in contact with the chocolate. It is so difficult to avoid aluminum that's why drinking silica rich water on a daily basis is important. If you have an Ohm meter you can check to see if the wrapper is alumi...

Re: Google as Big Brother?

I always thought wiki did a pretty good job of monitoring its content. I.e. at the start of some pages, it gives a warning of, say, "this sounds more like a brochure," "needs more citations," etc. But now I understand that there are dark money groups out there which can fund &quo...

Re: Gundry internet ads

I’m sorry to hear this! It’s a bummer, isn’t it? But it’s great that you noted significant reduction of inflammation and bloating. Are you off the ketogenic diet now? Your use of the past tense suggests so. I’m still on it, but I need to better feed my gut microbiome, so I periodically consider goi...

Re: Gundry internet ads

I’ve never felt the increased energy and improved cognition from being on a ketogenic diet that others report, but this diet has healed my hypoglycemia/insulin resistance. Me too! ...And those were the main reasons why I went on the keto diet: for the increase in energy & cognition, but no magi...

Re: Gundry internet ads

I need to lose 45 pounds and it isn't happening. Since obesity contributes to health risks in so many ways, maybe I need to do a protocol to lose the weight first and then check numbers and deal with them. Have you tried switching the good fat/lean protein breakdown, to instead 70% lean protein/20%...

Re: Fascinating podcast on APOE4 and keto diet

Something I've been pondering is the common assumption that whatever foods early humans were eating is what modern humans should be eating. Their diet may have supported short-term survival... but what about long term? Their diet may have been appropriate for people who were not sitting as much, wh...

Re: Greetings from a homozygous Apoe4 & a question about food

I'm only eating about 1200 calories a day, and at 5'8" I'm down to 110 pounds and am hungry ALL the time!! I was wondering if there's a place in this forum to talk about what people are eating in terms of macros... many of the "heart healthy" foods are high in carbs, my gut can't tol...
