Whenever I look at zinc formulations, Zn Carnosine seems good from a gut-health + cognitive perspective. Dr's Best sells one in a modest dosage.sandyt wrote:I see a couple of you mentioned zinc. Do you have a good brand recommendation That doesn’t overdo the dosage? Thanks!

Re: Anyone lowered LDL drastically WITHOUT statins ?
From that article, it's not clear how many individuals were harmed by achieving their target LDL values, I only see mention of a few deaths that were prevented.

Re: Glucosamine: a mTOR inhibitor and autophagy activator?
What's the latest thought on Glucosamine and liver health? I've seen it pop up in a few poorly-controlled studies (but with enough frequency that I've been cautious to take the stuff myself.) "Glucosamine has been implicated in isolated case reports in causing clinically apparent liver injury&q...

A high MUFA, moderate PUFA diet with daily exercise brought my levels to place where I felt things were balanced (aside from minor co...

Withings Body Cardio vs Gold Standards of PWV & Body Comp (J Pers Med 2020)
I bought one of the Withings Body Cardio scales when it first entered the market. It was the first of its kind, offering daily cardiovascular PWV measurements. On this chart, PWV has a very close association with biological age: Figure3-PWV-versus-age-There-was-a-strong-positive-association-between-...
