Re: Fasting recommendation
Keep us posted, starting tomorrow, Gigglemush. It will be helpful for all of us and encourage you to finish the 5 days. Ski, maybe this is personal, but what is going on to interfere with a fast right now? You mentioned your lipids, liver, and statin. You okay? I am going to go straight for the 12 h...

Re: Fasting recommendation
OK, Katie. I want to get rid of my broken down old cells. I am assuming your 1 day a week 12 hour fast is your worst fasting day. The other days must be 17 hours. Your social engagements revolving around eating are important to you. Me, too. Have to be flexible and enjoy life. Number 1 rule. I will ...

Re: Fasting recommendation
Katie, thanks. I can certainly do a 12 hour fast and work up to 17 hours. Been thinking that If I am willing to take CAD106, I should certainly be willing to give fasting a try. What benefits are there from this short little fast? Are you doing a 17 hour fast every day? Have you lost weight (which w...

Re: Fasting recommendation
I agree, Ski! After 7 years of Spanish, I can barely read the description of the book on Amazon. Spending time in Tuscany this fall, so I really should get my lingual skills together. The chianti idea is fabulous, Gigglemush. I can just drink that and pretend to still understand Spanish

Re: Fasting recommendation
Hi Ski - We have a special bond; we both found out that we were 4/4 the same time. Always wonderful to hear from you. We have other similarities, as well. I also have a very active metabolism, snack constantly and eat double the amount of food as my husband. I have lots of energy and am very active....

Thanks for making me laugh, Gigglemush! To quote Reader's Digest, laughter is the best medicine.

Off topic, but oh well.
Gilgamesh, did you ever find out if 23&me had made a mistake, and that you are not 4/4? Just curious.

Re: CAD106 and CNP520
I was also told that the FDG PET was no longer included in the study. Mardi, I posted on the previous page that my blood pressure has also gone up - from 90/60 to 150 and forgot the lower # (still functioning; this was just lack of focus :)) . Pretty shocking since I used to have to stand up very sl...

Re: Can my son have 2x APOE-E4 allele when I have one & my wife has none?
Your wife doesn't appear appear to have an - E4 allele. What does that mean? She either does or she doesn't. Her son is obviously her biological child. One allele comes from each parent. And, no allele 4 came from her. So, the test results are wrong or maybe you are not reading them correctly? B52 i...

Re: Statins. Yes or No??
If you decide upon a statin, be sure to supplement with CO Q-10.
