Re: What supplements do you use and why?
I wouldn't consider that naive. . . just investigative, which you very well should be. At your young age, you SHOULD be taking a proactive role, so I applaud you for doing so. Best of luck ~ find a doctor that will work WITH you!

Re: What supplements do you use and why?
I sincerely appreciate learning what helps others, but proceed with caution if considering having a thread specifically on supplements. My concern is people will diagnose/treat themselves which may do more harm than good. Many doctors (particularly those in Functional Medicine) have a growing unders...

I am also careful to be sure I eat something beforehand (coffee is very acidic). I start my day with warm water with freshly squeezed organic lemon...

Re: Hi, New Here, Introducing Myself
I quit my job a couple months ago partly because I tanked hard. I had a large amount of degradation in memory, executive function, ability to organize/prioritize, brain fog, lethargy, de-motivation; and my depression got pretty bad. I was sleeping 10+ hours a night and was struggling. Through a pre...

If anyone wants to take advan...

Re: Update to: Two generations at once...
Greetings Jmac - chronic insomnia has plagued me for years. I use some of the same recommendations listed above but thought I'd share that one of my FM doctors (psychiatrist) recommends L-theanine as well as higher doses and slow release of melatonin. Be careful with the quality of the supplements t...

Re: Letter to my father
Richard ~ I am so incredibly touched and moved by your story. . . what a blessing and gift you have! As I sit and contemplate how to discuss my journey with my own 27 year old son (with whom I am meeting with tonight), I find the synchronicities of our journeys and the fact that I popped onto this s...
