Re: Just accepted into an AD Study

Another disease to add to my list to study: ALS. I'm a 49er football fan and was watching a video about Dwight Clark's death this year from ALS. A doctor being interviewed said that NFL football players are 4x more likely to develop ALS, and that it needs to be grouped in studies with Alzheimer's an...

Re: Just accepted into an AD Study

Guess I'm going to have to be more pro-active. I don't have direct contact information, but should be able to find it on local CC website. I'm more convinced than ever that inflammation is more important than doctors want us to know. Keto is anti inflammatory. On the LC forum I belong to, we have ca...

Re: Just accepted into an AD Study

Despite reassurance from my referral source, I've not been contacted by the local Cleveland Clinic outreach person. Wish I could say my enthusiasm is not losing steam. Participating in Facebook groups for both Bredesen and Wahls protocols and am more convinced than ever of the efficacy of Keto eatin...

Re: Need info on genetic testing

Is it dangerous to share DNA testing results with our PCP? I've thought about the possible repercussions. Medicare can't refuse us, can it? Is this a minefield?

Re: Just accepted into an AD Study

1. Haven't gotten an email from the head of outreach at the local Cleveland Clinic, but I'll give her time to get back to me. After some time, I'll contact her directly if I can find her email on the website, or fill out a form. 2. Yesterday I went and sang for an AD group at a local Senior Living f...

Re: Just accepted into an AD Study

Yesterday I took my next step in determining how to understand the needs specific to this particular group of people at the church. I attended and participated in a successful group called Dancing with Parkinson's. I had fun and got some great exercise AND had a wonderful FTF talk afterwards with th...

Meeting results

I hardly know where to start. Didn't take any of my notes with me and just let the conversation roll. The good news is the advice is to wait until Fall to start having meetings. The bad news is that it's all my baby. "I want to help you be a success." We discussed what words might keep peo...

Re: Talking about Diet

I know next to nothing other than my own experience. Like most other people, I'm feeling my way in the dark. I'm in another forum with people who eat LC for weight control, although many in my age group acknowledge that our ongoing good health is most important to us. We all experience the phenomena...
