Sleep
I just thought I would pass my experiences along since good sleep seems so elusive for so many of us. I have struggled with sleep for decades. My crutches were Tylenol PM, anti-depressants, and Ativan. After learning of my Apoe4 status I knew I had to figure out my sleep without my crutches. After t...

Re: The gene that could replace APOE4 as Alzheimer's predictor
Yep! Promethease confirms I am a 3/4 AND carry the TOMM40 rs2075650 (A;G). Stunned. I thought I would hack the ApoeE4 gene and ride into the sunset....not so fast. AND onset is 7 years earlier?!! That was a big study too. Not easy to poke holes in. So then I went to Julie's threads re the TOMM40 and...

Armour Thyroid, RT3, T3 conundrum
Friends, Need some help...I have been hypothyroid for years now. I am a 58 yo 3/4. I hired MUSES Labs to develop a protocol for me. One of their recommendations was in re to my RT3 #. My FT3:RT3 ratio is 11. Bredesen wants it >20. It is mostly due to high RT3 (24.7). I have 3 different directions th...

Re: Member Google Map (with some biomarker spreadsheet talk)
This is a great idea. I was thinking of finding other Apoe4's in my area by using the Next Door app and posting about starting a support group. I have hesitated because it is so public. Not sure I want everyone to know that I am trying to hack the Apoe4 gene. This database would accomplish the same ...

Re: Disturbed sleep & AD
floramaria, another supp to consider is bacopa monnieri. Like you, I layer them at night: melatonin, ashwagandha, magnesium, progesterone, and now bacopa. It works similar to ashwagandha as an adaptogen. There's also some evidence that it improves cognition. I can't take it when I'm not stressed. I...
