0.3mM most of the time; .6mM once and .5mM in the past 2 weeks. I have checked about 9 of the last 12 days To be considered in Ketosis, you generally want to keep above .6 - so you've been flirting with it, but not really there. Sure it is fine to talk about eating good foods, but if you are trying...

Patty, As they used to say - Your mileage may vary. Fruits have been bred to be more sweet, but not all are the same. You can likely have berries in small amounts, and they have some of the best nutrients. Fructose is a particularly bad sugar and can become liver fat sometimes, so best to minimize. ...

Re: New to this APOE4 Mitigation and new to this forum - but see all of the knowledge and compassion of others I've read

I am wondering how many people are actually doing keto at about 50g of carbs a day? I am very hungry, and so far, this week - going over by about 10 every day after adding up every little thing. Would love thoughts! Hi Patty, welcome. The amount of carbs that a person needs to get into ketosis will...

Re: fasting glucose and a1c

Thanks for the response. I am more concerned about the direction than these particular numbers. In 15 years, I don't want fasting glucose to be 25 points higher, and why did it increase 10% from last year....that sort of thing. Ok, your question re Chronometer. I guess the question itself suggest t...

Re: fasting glucose and a1c

I just got the results of my annual blood work. Glucose increased from 100 to 110. a1c increased from 5.3 to 5.5. The only thing I've changed from the prior year is to add a 3 ounce shot of olive oil to breakfast for additional calories. 15 years ago my fasting glucose was 25 points less, and I ate...

Re: Hello! New to the group

Mike I found my results from the last time this was pulled. My A1C was 4.8 in July/2022 my glucose was 87, but my insulin was 7. The insulin was above the target range in Dr Bredesen book. His target is 3-5. I have improved my diet even more since I found this site on Aug 7th. My one sugary snack i...

Re: Hello! New to the group

[Thank you for the encouragement to watch my blood sugar. I have had my A1C tested and it’s always been low. I don’t currently have a way to check my blood sugar, and that’s why I don’t. I am hoping to get a prescription for a continuous one once I see the doctor. Although, I hear I need a diagnosi...

Re: Hello! New to the group

I am slowly improving things so I don’t get overwhelmed. I have started walking 1.5 miles most days, walking around my building at work twice a day, and generally moving more. I have a strength training program I will start soon. This is in addition to reducing my feeding window, and improving my d...

Re: Tramiprosate: a silver bullet for 4/4 carriers?

Is there any talk of doing a trial with pre-symptomatic 4/4s yet?

Re: Greetings from a 4/4 T1DM Apoe4 forum newbie!!

How far do you "diverge" in a normal day? If you were staying between 80-120, then that would be a good range. I also wouldn't complain too much about an A1c of 6%...possibly more important is how high your peaks go.
