Re: Pain Management

I have osteoarthritis in both hips, my left having bone-on-bone contact. I got the diagnosis after going to the doctor because I was having pain when walking. Well, I figured if there was bone-on-bone contact, then I was going to imagine making the bone as smooth as a skipping stone. I would find a ...

Re: hs-CRP Can it be too low?

Okay - just read that people with AD run low CRP levels but then I also read that high CRP levels puts one more at risk of developing AD. Not sure what all of this means.

I think it means that I should get off the computer and go to bed. Goodnight everyone!

Re: How much do you exercise?

Thank you so much everyone for your advice! I am pushing less in my walking and it has made a big difference in how I feel afterwards. I have also divided it up twice a day instead of once and I am slowly continuing to improve. I have a treadmill test with echo at the end of this month. Haven't run ...

hs-CRP Can it be too low?

My HS-CRP is 0.03 mg/L.

I know lower is better but this seems really strange. And I had the same test done 10 years ago and it was also around this same value.

I believe I have read that people with E4 tend towards lower CRP but this low?

How does one go about finding their raw data on 23andMe? I have been searching all over and can't find it.

Re: NMR results = total confusion!

Gosh though.....your 2014 numbers look good to me. Could you go back to the way you were eating then? Your numbers seem to fly all over the place depending on diet. Mine do the same. I've had my total cholesterol vary between 202 and 334 depending on diet.

Re: How much do you exercise?

It is confusing to me how much to exercise. I am 63 yrs old and E3/E4. I also currently have high cholesterol but have just recently (6 wks) brought it down considerably (Total 334 to 266) with diet changes. I'm hoping it will continue to fall (I know it is still way to high). I also have stage 1 di...

Re: uncomfortable choice

Thank you so much Juliegee. Your response was what I needed to stop my vacillation between these two procedures. I have had a high number of CTs so another one would not be the best thing for me. I know of at least one MRI contrast exam that I had about 10 years ago and my brain has not yet fallen o...
