Morning mineral cocktail?

Anyone have any favourite morning concoctions to get the day started? Right now I'm experimenting with - 18oz brita filtered water - pinch of himalayan pink salt - pinch of potassium - pinch of black pepper - grate 1-3 tsp of tumeric root - grate 1 tsp of ginger root - 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar ...

Re: Ketosis questions!

Since ketones are a proxy (in the inverse - ketones = low insulin) for serum insulin, I'd say your pancreas and your insulin sensitivity is very healthy. Keep on keeping on. Tincup, you are a wealth of information & inspiration :) . I'll keep trucking along. Getting these basic things measured ...

Re: Ketosis questions!

So yesterday I just recovered from a ~24 hour stomach bug lost about ~7,8 lbs, assuming mostly just water. Ended up being insanely hungry so I figured, I'd give myself the day to have whatever I want. I had my first burger of the year, a chicken wrap after that and butter chicken with rice and naan ...

Re: Ketosis questions!

From what I gather, .5-3.0 is the desired range, but does having a number between this range always mean you are in ketosis or does it just say it's possible that you are? The reason I ask. I ate indi...

Re: Keto-Mojo Review

For the price and ease of use, plus being able to measure blood glucose I think the Keto Mojo is a great buy. My readings seem accurate but I suppose I can't know for sure. Just started using it about a month ago, giving it two thumbs up so far!

Re: Joe Rogan Experience #1108 - Peter Attia

Really liked this podcast and really like Peter Attia. I think partly because he doesn't over sell anything or claim to have all the answers but is diligently working to find them and tweak his own way of thinking about longevity as the evidence comes in.

Re: Social support & the reverse

"A recent study among 5,475 men and 4,580 women aged over 50 showed that a single point increase in negative social support score resulted in a 31 percent rise in the risk of eventual dementia. Negative social support is where you experience a lot of critical, unreliable and annoying behaviors...

Re: 33 year old 4/4 - big shock and struggling to process it

I like the idea that it can be a positive catalyst to change lifestyle. I wish it didn't just feel like damage limitation right now. Although, I suppose that is life... damage limitation. All the best to you I think once you start getting more into it.. you will see it's much more than just damage ...
