Re: Rapamycin prevents age-related brain vascular deterioration in rats
4/4 and going on 70 (later this year). Cognitively in great shape. Started rapamycin last November as prescribed by Dr. Alan Green in NY as an AD preventative measure. Feeling wonderful and worrying less these days that I might lose my "marbles". I find that overall, it makes me feel great...

Re: Using RAPA for AD prevention
As a 69 year old 4/4 female, I researched the topic of rapamycin extensively, visited with Dr. Green and made the decision 3 months ago, to start rapamycin. I was prescribed 6mg once a week. Started at 4mg/week for one month, and now take 5 mg once a week. Whether I go to 6mg or not remains to be se...

Triglycerides and APIOE4
What are thoughts on this study which showed lower triglycerides had higher AD incidence in E4s ? This has me stumped.

Coconut Oil topically?

Re: Does anyone else use a rebounder?!
Brian, sorry....I didn't see the question until now. The vibration machine is also called a vibration plate....you stand on it and it sends vibrating pulses through your body. It's the same theory as a chi-machine, which I also have.

Re: Does anyone else use a rebounder?!
I have had a rebounder for years and have started using mine again regularly. It stands to reason that the G-force of jumping continuously for 15 or 20 minutes, which provides a great lymphatic massage would do the same for the brain's lymphatic waste disposal described in this article. https://www....

Re: Dutch patients with dementia to request euthanasia
interesting discussion and one that I'm sure we all have very individual thoughts about. Being able to leave this existence on my own terms is far more comforting than the idea of spending years in a vegetative state not knowing the faces of my 4 beautiful children, my dear husband, my grandchildren...

Maintaining weight with intermittent fasting
I have started intermittent fasting and have no problem at all having my last meal at 7.00 pm and not eating before 11 or 12 the next day. It's very easy for me to go that long without food. I would actually go longer if I didn't have to worry about weight loss. At 66, I'd rather have a couple of po...

Re: Breakfast Suggestions
For breakfast I routinely make a muesli of 1/3 cup gluten free oat bran, with 1/3 cup gluten free muesli mix (with nuts and seeds), 2 tablespoons of fresh ground flax seed, 1/2 cup fresh organic blueberries (or raspberries) and almond milk. It is followed by a protein shake with cocoa powder (also a...
