Re: Very Good Peter Attia podcast
1. Dr Niotis' comment about managing AD when ApoE4 status is known was not just she doesn't worry as much; she said, "easy peasy". That's a step-change difference in provider outlook compared with when Julie started this community in ~2013. Amazing. I really enjoyed the overview this podc...

"Antibacterial" and "antimicrobial" products
Over many years I've heard countless vendors market skin, oral, microbiome and other health products as being great for killing bad bacteria and microorganisms. I don't understand how so many products can be proven to kill bad bacteria but not the good bacteria we want. Can anyone help me trust thes...

Re: Lecanemab approved!
I wonder how the results compare with Aricept, which also temporarily slows cognitive decline. We have the new “q without a u” drug slowing decline compared with placebo but not with the currently approved Aricept, which does the same thing but I think (?) with lower risk. This may be covered somewh...

Re: Phosphadylserine?
Phosphadylserine. It seems to be quite important for the brain, seems to help with ageing symptoms and cognitive processes and seems to have a low risk profile. Have any of you heard of it? There was some recent research that caused some writers to suggest that phosphadylserine (or maybe it was ano...

Re: BrainHQ for diagnosys?
I … know that feeling of feeling like Goldlilocks and the 3 Bears: You want the challenge to be "just right", not too high or too low. Hi Nancy, Like ChristineAZ I also just started using Brain HQ (I discovered they had 30% off the annual fee on 12/31 :). Their trainer program, if you cho...

Re: ALZ-801 in ApoE4 IMPROVES cognition, reduces plasma P-tau 52% and amyloid beta monomers in one year
The convergence of positive effects on plasma biomarkers, hippocampal volume and clinical benefits supports the disease modifying profile of ALZ- 801...strengthens the case for a Phase 3 study in APOE4 carriers. The favorable safety, low risk of ARIA-E, and convenience of a simple oral regimen, mak...

Re: ADD/ADHD and APOE4
There was another article published in AARP Bulletin called: 'ATTENTION, PLEASE! If memory and focus problems are plaguing you at midlife, it could be undiagnosed ADHD. Here’s how to tell' I see it in Apple News app but not at the AARP bulletin website. I think it's member only at the bulletin site,...
