Re: What is the absolute risk?

I tried looking up C677T on my 23andme raw data. Nothing came up. I Googled C677T and saw it equated to RS1801131 and RS1801133.
I am RS1801131 = GT and RS1801133 = AG I don't know how to interpret these results.

Re: "Tricks and tips" for getting the most from the ApoE4 website

Thanks, Slacker for pointing out the wiki "Tricks and tips". It makes it so easy to get to information directly without a lot of hunting. It is so well designed . I know I will get a lot of use out of it.

Re: Just found out... And I am scared.

Hello Libertas, our member NF52 expressed her thoughts so well. I would like to add a few. I'm an E4/E4 81 year old woman and I'm doing just fine. It has been almost five years since i found out from my 23andme results. Because of what I have learned and the changes I have made in my life, I am doin...

Re: Oatmeal pancake

My favorite is very close to yours. I like frozen blue berries with Trader Joe's yoghurt (mixing half Greek and half European both non fat). The frozen berries make the yoghurt almost like sherbet. Walnuts are very good with it, but almost too good. I can really pig out on this if I add the walnuts ...

Re: Age 36 and terrified of being 4x4

Hi Priya, you asked when I found out I was an e4/e4. It was almost five years ago. I did 23andme and was totally surprised to find out I was an e4/e4. I am very thankful I found out because it gave me a chance plus the motivation to get in the best possible health for me. Just being over 80 is rathe...

Re: Age 36 and terrified of being 4x4

Dear Priya, I see you have been quickly adopted into our Apoe4 family and even have a virtual mom. I see that leaves room for a virtual grandmom. I hereby apply for the job. I'm doing fine. I'm sure much of the "fine" part comes from things I've learned from this site. Starfish e4/e4 age 81

Re: Genetic preferences for vegetarian and seafood-heavy diets

Starfish here. I'm not doing Keto. My husband died 20 years ago. I was used to not eating any meat except poultry because of his medical requirements for his heart. I didn't eat eggs for years. I got used to eating only poultry so I just don't eat red meat, without thinking about it. I began eating ...

Re: Another personal loss to AD

Brian, I am sorry for the loss of your aunt. Even when we have ideas that might be beneficial to improving a family members health, we cannot necessarily get the family caregivers to accept our suggestions. Keeping harmony in the family at such a difficult time may be the best choice possible at tha...
