Re: APOE 4/4 Combat sports
If anyone could possibly help point in the right direction that would be hugely appreciated Cheers The discussion and strategizing here around macronutrient ratios is all about curing and avoiding metabolic dysfunction. Just about any ratio can work. Your normal sugars and superior body composition...

Re: Higher phosphatidylcholine protects against dementia
Thanks for the explanation, MoJoe. I can see that this issue is complex and that there are open questions that will require time to answer. I think you make a good point about the large dosage differences and the uncertain comparative dose relationships among plasmalogen supplements with varying ent...

Re: Higher phosphatidylcholine protects against dementia
Definitely worthy of a read if you are seeking plasmalogens and extra choline from food. According to Dr. Dayan Goodenowe, plasmalogen does not survive digestion. Our own cells must synthesize it in the peroxisome and the endoplasmic reticulum organelles. As we age, peroxisomal function deteriorate...

When I ask him about factors mentioned by Bredesen in Type 3 diabetes Joe, I want to be sure that I communicated this point about Type 3 Alzheimer's effectively. Bredesen's schema includes four types of Alzheimer's: Type 1 : Inflammatory. Chronic i...

Re: Low insulin pathway to dementia?
Joe, I agree with Tincup that you don't seem insulin resistant. Do you continue to meet the criteria for a positive dementia diagnosis today? If so, I wonder if you have something else going on. Are you familiar with Dale Bredesen's Type 3 Alzheimer's classification?

Upcoming site access issue (Let's Encrypt)
The problem. If you use a device running an Android version prior to 7.1.1, beginning January 11 your access from that device to this site and many others will be impaired. (7.1.1 was released only four years ago, and a third of all Android devices are running older versions.) When you attempt to v...

Re: Breakthrough on Deep Sleep Issue
I learned that restless legs can impact deep sleep from my Oura 2 Ring as it measures "restlessness" and that measure has dropped along with improvements in deep sleep. It sounds as though the Oura 2 estimates deep sleep by tracking "restlessness" as a surrogate marker. One of t...

Re: 3/4 new here with high LDL after 3-months keto
Great handle and first post, apoe4thebetter - welcome. You seem to have a solid strategy and are refining and optimizing rather than fixing big problems - congratulations on being so well-positioned for an extended health span. I imagine that you are familiar with Dave Feldman's work, but just in ca...
