Dr. Joseph Kraft died today

http://www.thefatemperor.com/blog/2017/2/21/dr-joseph-kraft-passed-away-today-rest-in-peace He was a remarkable pioneer in defining hyperinsulinemia. If you haven't read his book, you should. It's available here and explains the underdiagnosis of diabetes, and I do think that much of Alzheimer's is...

Re: Notes from my Functional Medicine visit

Thanks, Chris. Curious -- what has this cost you so far? Of course, your health is invaluable, but we aren't made of money . . . I backed out of functional med over the price. May reconsider.

Re: Gary Taubes on Joe Rogan Experience

Taubes' book The Case Against Sugar is a compelling, dense, well-researched piece of investigative journalism. Do take the time to read it.

Re: Diet and lifestyle changes

Here are two physicians who have seen patients reverse diabetes via the type of lifestyle changes you've implemented: Jason Fung https://intensivedietarymanagement.com/ . Several good YouTube videos, too Richard Bernstein http://www.diabetes-book.com/ He was diagnosed with type1 diabetes as a child....

Re: Brainstorming about our 2017 meet-up!

There are various LowCarb conferences that might give us a discount if we piggybacked. For instance, San Diego in early August https://go.lowcarbusa.org/events Regional meet-ups offer lower cost, allowing more folks to attend. With videoconferencing, the entire group could meet up, but from the conv...

Re: Describe your ideal MCT formulation

Julie asked about dosage and why: I take one to two tablespoons per day, first thing in the morning, usually in my first cup of coffee. I bought the vanilla-hazelnut flavor by mistake, and for me, that taste ruins coffee, so I'm just shooting that stuff down until the bottle is finished. I fee...
