Re: Apoe 4/4 and high triglycerides
My brother had very high trigs and is apoe3/3, so there may be more at work here than your apoe4 status. He was able to reduce his trigs with prescription fish oil.

Re: I need help with my 23andme report...
Unless your parents have been tested for apoe you have no way of knowing who you got each from. All you know is one parent has a 4 and one has a 2.

Re: I need help with my 23andme report...
Specifically, I need help with the Apoe4 report. I can't tell if I am a 3/4 or 4/4, or possibly, neither. Here is part of the report. It says I am "likely" an Apoe4 carrier. What can I conclude from this? Do I need further testing to determine if I am a 3/4 or 4/4, or neither? Thanks. APO...

Re: New ApoE4 protective SNPs
Thank you. I looked again and found it for a family member with V3 chip but not for any of us with V4 or V5.xactly wrote:I was genotyped with the V3 chip. Re: New ApoE4 protective SNPs
I cannot find the rs2303697 SNP in the SNPedia, but my 23andme data shows I have C/T at that point. From other posts, I see that the T allele is protective (i.e., reduces the accumulation of myoinositol in the brain). Does anyone know if the wild type is T/T? I'm not well versed in this, but lookin...

Re: New Member from Hamburg, Germany
Hi, just wanted to check in here and thank you for existing. :) I'm currently 34 years old and recently (last two years especially) struggled badly with my cognition, deteriorating to the point where I was constantly depressed, where my light and sound sensitivity were dialled up to eleven, where m...

So small LDL-P is a good measure to use for sdLSL? Thank you Julie.

Re: ApoB, small-dense LDL-C, Lp(a), LpPLA2 activity, and cognitive change
I have Walk in Lab NMR results and I'm not sure where small dense LDL (sdLDL) is on it. I see LDL-P and small LDL and LDL size but no where does it say sdLDL. Can someone help me out please?
