Re: Smoothies? All in one shakes?
So I'm thinking to stay away from animal fat and protein for my smoothie. My smoothie base is a blend of a whole organic lemon which nicely emulsifies 50ml+ of olive oil. I throw in 2 handfuls of salad mix and then various other stuff depending on my tastes and inventory. I have been trying to also ...

Re: On the keto diet? Ditch the cheat day
On another forum I heard Dr Mercola echo the caution about cheat meals for those in ketosis. I guess my stupid question is, if this caution is warranted, but we are doing "mild" ketosis as Dr Bredesen recommens - is the negative effect also mild?

Re: confused about Gundry diet
He has also been a proponent of consuming a liter of olive oil per week but that didn't work for me given my APOE 3/4 status. So his recipes may not work particularly well for people who have trouble with high amounts of fat. Was the reflected in your blood panels? Gundry himself recommends APOE4s ...

Cooking oils at home and on the road (restaurants)?
I recently read Dr Cate Shanahan's Deep Nutrition and was reviewing her website... I had assumed from my paleo readings that we avoid vegatable oils because of the Omega6s but she makes the point that this is not the whole story and it is more the fact that they get oxidized. She says that olive oil...

Re: Dr. Steven Gundry with diet recommendations for ApoE4
Can someone clarify Gundry's current position on bone broth? Hi bexnews, Books take a while to publish, so he may have changed his mind too late for the publication. I do find it slightly irresponsible to not make your position clear in regard to your own book. I'd personally stay away from bone br...

Re: Dr. Steven Gundry with diet recommendations for ApoE4
Can someone clarify Gundry's current position on bone broth? Just some weeks ago (would have to dig up) he told someone on a Facebook live video that they could have their bone broth if they wanted cancer. I thought it was a bit snark, but nonetheless.... he did write up a big article on his reasoni...

Coconut milk?
What is the latest thinking on coconut milk a la Thai-Kitchen, Aroy-D, Native Forest etc.? I know Gundry was neutral-to-negative on coconut oil last I saw, with MCT being a inconclusive. I thought Gundry had given a pass to coconut milk. Do other resources have any stated opinion?
