Re: Dr. Bredesen's Study - Muses Labs
Wow, I may have to change docs. I don't think mine, although willing to order the labs, has 30 min to spend on the phone. Is the 30 min a requirement or is it okay if they just agree to order what's needed and do the cognitive tests? I don't know if the 30-minute Muses Labs presentation is required...

Re: Small LDL-P as a predictor of CAD (and progression)
rep, I'm sorry to hear you have CAD and bad lipids. Keep on gathering info and working on things, and I bet you'll be able to turn things around. Lately, I have been coming across the term "bioindividuality" (and related terms like biochemical individuality), and I wonder how much of a rol...

Re: Got my oxidized LDL results
Julie, I haven't had this test but wanted to say kudos to you! And thanks for providing this information. I haven't had my cholesterol tested in three years, so I'm overdue. My total cholesterol has been on the low side for several years (like 160), so I'm curious to find out what it is now and what...

rep, rs5882 (G;G) looks like a great protective SNP to have. I envy you. I checked my status, and I'm an AA.

Re: Small LDL-P as a predictor of CAD (and progression)
From Juliegee: Genetics (other than APOE genotype) play such a huge role here. The "right" combo of SNPs in the CETP or other genes, like ABCA1, can provide both CAD & AD protection- perhaps even overriding the consequences of the E4. Are these "protective" genes described i...

Re: A Movie for the Gutsy Ones?
At 9 pm last night, I read an article about the movie. It made me feel sad, but I was sure I'd want to see it. I had no idea how triggered I really was until I couldn't get to sleep. After tossing and turning in bed for an hour, getting out of bed and processing my dark feelings, and then taking Klo...

Thanks, George. I never would have guessed that. I'm too English-centric, I suppose.
