Re: Glad to be here
Hi gigiuno and welcome to the group! I'm so very sorry to hear about your Mom and the loss of your Dad. My own opinion - it's probably just human nature for parents not to want to burden their children with the knowledge of their Alzheimer's diagnosis, and perhaps even to hold onto hope that the doc...

Btw, you do need to go online and register to attend. No registration needed for livestream. I love this organization not only because of the talent it attracts, but also because the Board of Directors funds all overhead expenses, allowing 100% of donations to go towards research.

Re: How many of us 4/4 are out there?
Hello Lulitamae and welcome to our E4 family! Your question is an excellent one and probably one of the first we 4/4's ask (and yes..I am a member of the club!). My understanding is that most estimates of ApoE4/4 frequency among those with European ancestry is in the neighborhood of 2.2-2.6%. Estima...

Hi Carole and welcome to our community! I'll let the member mathematicians jump in on your first question when they have a moment. But as you await your test results, I would like to point out as we say frequently here, "genes are NOT destiny". I hope you'll keep that in mind - as hard as ...

Re: Peter Attia Fast
I'm particularly interested that he may be taking metformin. As I'm pretty certain my doc would not prescribe it for me at this point, I'm trialing berberine at a lower dose (500mgs) as a potential substitute.
