Re: High Homocysteine Possible Deficiencies

Thank you Susan: Originally, I wasn't taking Niacin. I was doing a zero carb diet and my cholesterol went thru the roof, that's why she recommended Niacin. Now, I don't know if the Niacin did the trick with the cholesterol or it was the change in diet. I'm going to message her and maybe she can give...

Re: High Homocysteine Possible Deficiencies

Any ideas? You might experiment with adding choline (or phosphatidylcholine) and/or creatine. See Chris Masterjohn's take on treating MTHFR. I used both PC and creatine on top of things in your list (but smaller amounts of methyl-folate at 400 mcg/day) to drop mine from 10.4 to 6.9. I tried the PC ...

Re: Celebration Thread! Biogen is going to the FDA with Aducan.

Hi J11: Thank you J11 for all your hard work in trying to make this topic easier to understand.

I do hope that they approve it, although from what I'm reading in the news, it's going to be difficult.

Just wanted to mention that even if we don't comment, we are noticing and reading.

Re: Question about Supplement Brands

Hi Roxanne, I just take 1 capsule of the Swanson B-complex but also take an extra 12.5mg lozenge of P5P and 500mg TMG. Because both my B12 and Folate levels were crazy high and my homocysteine was not reducing, I halved both of these and followed Chris Masterjohns protocol with sunflower lecithin (...

Re: Question about Supplement Brands

Thankyou Susan and Floramaria. Yes I will stick with Iherb for the bulk of my supplements. I did order a multiB Complex (recommended by Rhonda Patrick for some family members) from Swanson some weeks ago and I’m sure it’s on its way somewhere. With all the lockdowns worldwide the delay is to be exp...

Re: Alzheimer's Afternoons Seminar Series Summaries

Thank you for your notes Fiver. It probably takes a big chunk of your time. I'm with SusanJ. As a 3/4, I don't see as much success in a Keto Diet as others with 4/4 seem to have. And I struggle and tweak and go on. In any case, these perspectives are very interesting and hopefully something soon wil...

Re: COVID-19 Recommendations from U of AZ

You can instead take EsterC it's gentler on the GI tract. Thanks, Roxanne! I have taken Ester-C for many years, but never considered if it had the same bioavailability as ascorbic acid until the COVID-19 pandemic and reading the document shared by slacker. ;) Hi Raj: I see, I misunderstood the ques...
