Re: Is Omega-6 Good for You?
Peter Attia published an interview of Bill Harris that I found fascinating. I learned that linoleic acid (Omega-6) is an essential fatty acid (can't be synthesized in the body). Harris also discussed research which shows consumption of linoleic acid is inversely proportional to the incidence of card...

But I'm not losing weight. My oxidized cholesterol is still high risk. My leptin is twice what it should be. My fasting glucose is fine, but my fasting insulin is three times what it should be. Would you consider doing periodic fasts? I was impressed by the results Jason Fung shared in has book, &q...

Re: Higher phosphatidylcholine protects against dementia
CMJ's advice seems internally consistent to me and aligns well with your experience of high inflammation with low AA. I feel great when I eat lots of eggs, and common sense tells me that any naturally occurring food containing all the nutrients required to form a baby chicken must be good food. Tha...

Looks like you also have the wild type (aka normal) for MTHFR C677T. That's great!Roel wrote:rs1801133 1 11856378 GGxactly wrote:Do you know what your results are for the MTHFR C677T SNP are? (It's at rs1801133.)

"Depending on the dataset you provided for report generation, not all possible report entries may be available. This is normal. In this case, the following groups were excluded because the data you upload did not contain the requisite SNPs: CYP2R1, GCH1, GCH1, GCH1, MTHFD1L, FOXO3, GHR, GHR, N...

CMJ's Choline Calculator says I need 6 eggs per day, so I started eating 3 per day, supplementing with 250 mg of choline (to make up 2 of them), and getting the remaining 1-egg-yolk-equivalent from other dietary sources. However, I'm homozygous for the FADS1 polymorphism. The advice for that polymor...

Few questions based on your input; 1) How to check for E3/E4? i.e. what are the genes when using 23andme? 2) Why does the effect of methionine on homocysteine concern you when E3/E4 is present? 3) What dose of creatine and are there any counter-indicators for creatine (I have had double heart arter...

Homocysteine will go up when you follow Walsh protocol. The Walsh Protocol is really good for fixing issues like Pyrrole Disorder. However, I think it's way off the mark for addressing undermethylation. One of my relatives did a consult with a Walsh-trained practitioner. My relative had significant...

Re: Peter Attia podcast with Masterjohn
I'm convinced my MTHFR / homocysteine problems are choline related. I get homocysteine of 11.0-12.5, with a serum B12 of 450 and folate of 14. Doesn't make sense to me unless it's choline or *maybe* B6. I really like Chris Masterjohn's methylation protocol . I dropped my homocysteine from 10.5 to 7...
