Re: Thank you
I agree! Just reading what I wrote doesn't really explain-- but I know many others have been there. Although I'm not sure if it feels too personal (esp sharing about a loved one online), I think I will begin to post and find support/wisdom/knowledge on the caregivers' thread under "our stories&...

Re: Thank you
Sending you support from another caregiver. Medical issues are so difficult with AD. My mom has been holding steady health-wise, but we recently spent 10 hours in the ER and then 2 nights in the hospital. She was anxious and scared and we had to be there all the time as she wouldn't have understood ...

Re: L-serine research
Interesting! Maybe I'll be looking for some seaweed in my diet too. And for those of us who can tolerate soy, maybe there are advantages of that too. I agree it's exciting that the research can take different avenues at times, not driven by big pharma!

Re: L-serine research
Why do I want to just go on to Amazon and buy some L-serine after reading that article? He reports that Okinawans have 3x more in their diets

Re: L-serine research
from the Fortune article: In the case of the L-serine conjecture, though, we should at least get a little more evidence, one way or another, next year. That’s when a pair of clinical trials currently underway in Hanover, N.H., are due for completion. Dartmouth’s Elijah Stommel is overseeing a Phase ...

Re: Keto Diet and hypothyroidism
Surupe, do keep us posted! I have hashimoto's thyroiditis as well. I have greatly reduced my carbs and increased my fats, also lengthened my fasting window. I did this slowly and it has worked for me. I am not strictly in ketosis a lot of the time I'm sure, but do feel well when I am in mild ketosis...

I do use the Xclear nasal spray sometimes -- xylitol, saline and grapefruit seed extract!

Re: Sinusitis, Biofilms and Biocidin
I used to get sinus infections at least yearly with sinus swelling or congestion most of the time. Antibiotics at least yearly. And I used fluticasone (flonase) spray daily which definitely helped. Also neti pot. I don't need the spray anymore and haven't had a sinus infection in a few years. For me...
