Re: Ready to Quit
These are some thoughts from a 79 year old. Relax. Meditate. Intermittent fast. Find what makes you happy. I still enjoy raquetball, pickle ball, hiking. Think about how you can help others. Eat simply and enjoy every bite. It all boils down to enjoying this minute of this day. That is all we have. ...

Re: Calling all Alzheimer's Activists!
This is a suggestion:
AVOID the SLIPPERY SLOPE to ALZHEIMERS or ASS to Alzheimers
It is unconventional, non medical model, inspires questioning, sometimes we slip, nothing is guaranteed
Our logo could also be modern...maybe in tatoo style!

Re: Still new and digesting 4/4>>> questions
Dear Steven, You're running very fast and I would suggest you slow down a bit. I am now 79 and luckily have known my 4/4 status for a number of years. So far everything is good for me and I started slowly with meditation, gradually added supplements, have always been active and so forth. But what I'...

I am 79 and would advise you to "lighten up." Enjoy today. Especially in view of your past you need to "let go." I enjoyed golfing this am on this beautiful sunny 80 degree day. I enjoyed texting with my granddaughter. I enjoy hearing the neighborhood children play outdoors. I am...

Re: Happy's Mother's Day to all who had a mother
My mother died at age 68 following a stroke. We had our first child shortly after. I'm so sorry she didn't get to meet my children. I did see her interact and love my brother's children and I remember and can still feel her love for me. Thank you mom for all that love. This is the love I now pass on...

Re: Exercise-Very Encouraging Study. What is your Exercise Prescription?
I am female, 79 years. I enjoy a 30 minute walk daily as a minimum. I have a daily yoga am routine and I include 20 pushups. I attend weight-strength 1 hour class 2-3 times/week, I play raquetball or pickleball as often as possible. In summer and fall I golf, no cart, 2 times/week. My husband and I ...

Re: cognitive disconnect - do you "feel" you are reducing risk?
I am 79 and have known my 4/4 status a long time. But it wasn't until the recent years I've gained insight into actions to mitigate it's effects. So I'm a very happy camper! I've seen much progress and feel so fortunate to do all the active things I do daily. I love the fasting, meditation, low CHO ...

Re the Brevile tea pot. I was referring to the short video a customer reviewer did that pointed out some negatives. I was thinking of purchasing but did not. Now I just heat my cup of water in the microwave for tea. I believe that video was before Christmas.

Re: Dutch patients with dementia to request euthanasia
Having gotten a lot of satisfaction from helping to care for my father in his last demented years I am resigned to let the play end itself for me. When my brother took him to the nursing home he said "I don't know what these good nuns can do for me here." Well the good nun in about 15 mont...
