Re: Dark Side of 23&Me and Prometheus
I do not hold anything against 23 and me or promethease -- they do say information is not to be used clinically without validation. Plus this is all very new and complex. Also, if I did happen to have Lynch, knowing so would have potentially saved my life.

Re: Dark Side of 23&Me and Prometheus
I did not receive anything from Promethease or 23 and me saying it was likely a false positive. It was just listed as my #1 result. Both my doctor and MGH cancer center took quite seriously and MGH and promethease were in touch with each other after this to follow up

Re: Dark Side of 23&Me and Prometheus
This happened to me with Lynch Syndrome-- My promethease report said that I have it. My father did die of colon cancer in his early 50's, so it seemed like a possibility. I had the genetic testing done and I don't have it. So if anyone has this result for Lynch, I would recommend do not panic and ge...

I also have had a super quick biopsy (due to daily spotting in perimenopause) and I promise it's a quick ouch.

Oh no, wrong file ! But I will leave it there as it's a pic of my mom dancing a few weeks ago at her assisted living memory care (if you can open she is on the left)

I have made and used and liked the second one listed here-- just coconut oil, baking soda, and arrowroot. When I added essential oils my skin reacted, so I leave that out.

Re: bacopa experiences?
I was just congratulating myself on sleeping better, but then added coQ10 to my supplements yesterday and had difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep. Could well be a coincidence as it was just one night. Has anyone else suspected this of CoQ10? I do take bacopa, as well as ashwagandha-- but I ...

Re: Help finding caregiver passionate about reversing AD
Hi Jl-- I am very sorry for the loss of your mom, as well as the losses you are feeling with your sister and Dad. I hesitate a bit to give my experience, as every person, be it person with AD or care partner, is so different in their needs, abilities and wishes. My mom is now in the midstages of AD....

Re: Introduction
My mom's experience is similar to NF52's mom's. It is not what she would have envisioned her older age to be, but she is enjoying food, people, being outside, music, humor. She really enjoys this world and living and that has not completely diminished. Not to say there have not been some rough times...
