Re: Asked to do book review on Dr. Bredesen's _The End of Alzheimer's_ CRY FOR HELP, PLEASE

Hi Drae, Some great ideas above! If you do put together some slides or a handout and want someone to proof it for you don't hesitate to reach out! You will be awesome! Okay, Sara -- and all who so wonderfully responded -- I have not disappeared, just been busy mostly with protocol goals. Now, my &q...

Glucose meters and reversing diabetes

So, I am on a new learning curve. Taking theory on reversing diabetes with food and exercise into fact. Yesterday was my first opportunity to test my blood sugar. It was higher than expected 2 hours after lunch, but, I had tried a resistant starch with my giant salad, and obviously too much: 209. I ...

Re: Drae's Adventures in Cronometer Land

Thanks to all of you for helping me get this far! I have a report on how it is going. I have been attempting to eat 15% protein, 20% carbs, 65% fats. My fats are mostly good oils, although I am not fanatical about that and still try to fit in 3 pasture-raised eggs a day. I am also only attempting to...

Re: Exercise with Minimal Impact

rowing machines... Arggh, TheresaB. I just combed our small city. Our senior center and four other silver sneaker sites (where I don't pay) do NOT have rowing machines. Only my (former) crossfit gym, the YMCA and, an elementary school. Go figure. I keep thinking of buying one. Rowers = the best all...

Re: Glycemic index Look-up

Thanks, orange blossom. This one I had found. It has mostly food I do not eat on it, and, everywhere I look, I do not see *real* (as in green etc.) vegetables. There has to be a much more complete list available somewhere, don'tcha think? I would especially apreciate less common vegetables and fruit...

Glycemic index Look-up

I give up. I have searched and googled and cannot find a list or website to use to check on glycemic index of foods, either to consider a specific food or to read a list of those that are low or those that are high. I "kind of" know in general, but not being able to find this is bugging me...

Are these symptoms? Or just me?

1. I have been realizing lately how much I am not accomplishing, and seeing a connection with memory gaps. Things that come in the mail or email, I forget to take care of, can't seem to "hold" them in my mind like I used to. Physical things literally piling up around me. My "to do&quo...
