Quality of supplements

I tried using the search function but could not find a prior post that recommended a subscription-based website for an independent lab that tests various supplements to confirm quality. Help?

Re: New - e4/e4 and other issues

Hi Katie and welcome! I'm in NoCal, too, and also mother to three. My kids are adults, and all know their own ApoE status. They have taken steps to modify their diet, they have begun to take a modest number of supplements, and each has adopted a habit of regular exercise. None of them smoke, thank g...

Re: Bredesen's Book is available in BOOKSTORES and online!

Tom wrote: I just finished the $14 e-book. It's all the information from Dr. Bredesen's recent articles, work with patients, and recent conferences in one place. That alone is worth the money. I finished the hardcover book last night. I agree with Tom! Stavia asked: Do you think those with no scienc...

Re: Amy Berger's Book

I bought the electronic version over a year ago, and I thought it was the single best one-stop review of AD and dietary intervention. I made my husband read it first, before delving into any research papers or other sources.

Re: Illumina / 23andMe data reliability

It looks like the Illumina HiSeq 4000 was introduced in January 2015? http://blog.illumina.com/blog/illumina/2015/01/12/a-first-look-at-rna-seq-data-on-the-hiseq-4000-system If so, contamination wouldn't be a problem prior to that date. Dr Jason Fung (Intensive Dietary Management blog) on vinegar reducing post-prandial blood glucose: https://intensivedietarymanagement.com/the-benefits-of-vinegar-hormonal-obesity-xxviii/ You don't need to try to chug the stuff. Vinegar can be incorporated into the diet via salad dressing, sauces (th...

Re: Gundry Soda

I enjoy soda water with a dash of cream (vanilla extract optional). Tastes like a cream soda.

And if you want your chocolate fix, mix cocoa powder with the cream before adding the soda water. It really fizzes up fast, so add your sparkling water S-L-O-W-L-Y to avoid a mess.
