Re: HRT for everyone in RECODE?

Thank you Julie! it is very useful video. The only question is left if progesterone is still considered in the absence of uterus. Normally they only prescribe it to support lining of uterus. Does anyone have opinion? Great question. Yes, progesterone is still included if you've previously had a hys...

Also when you purchase this test, do you have to see a doctor first? thanks in advance. r....

Re: HRT for everyone in RECODE?

I read in one's person notes that on RECODE programme now they are using HRT on everyone despite an age. Could some with a knowledge comment on this? I am very interested in thinking behind this considering all conflicting studies coming out ( incl Danish study). If anything I am bias towards using...

Re: New Biomarkers for long term detection? Gfap Ltbp2

A friend of mine founded and runs a lab and has been working with me -- he ran all the cognoscopy tests I wanted for my brother and me. I asked him about these new biomarkers and he responded that he's not sure anyone in the US is testing these markers today and noted the research was coming out of...

Re: New Biomarkers for long term detection? Gfap Ltbp2

I know its early, but can any of the experts on this board weigh in on whether these biomarkers are likely to be affected by the preCODE/reCODE protocols and thus be used to measure progress (or lack thereof)? Great question. It's important to say up front that no one knows for sure but Dr. Bredese...

Re: Statins and Dementia studies

A couple of monthes ago I tested it again and LDL was 100. I think it's because I started cooking with saturated fat (ghee). In the past I used olive oil, but I hear more and more doctors (like dr Paul Mason) saying we shouldn't use olive oil to cook because it oxidises easily. Opinions vary re. us...

Re: Lab results. Too good to be true?

I was also thinking about the following. How the hell my Hb1Ac level can be that bad if my fasting glucose is 4.4 in the morning, and I'm fasting all day long. So my 4.4 shouldn't "go" anywhere during the day :D Thanks for this level of detail. I greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness. It...

Re: Lab results. Too good to be true?

HbA1C % = 5.62 (ref: 4 - 6) Overall, great results! However, HbA1c may be one to explore more in depth. Dr. Bredesen considers an HbA1c of 5.7 to be pre-diabetic and encourages maintenance of < 5.3 to avoid glycotoxicity. If you're supplementing with vitamin D, you may want to reduce your level a b...

Re: ACE trial: Arterial Stiffness, Cognition and Equol

Curious, I recall a mention that Dr. Bredesen was not a fan of the Adaptive Contrast system, which has both mild hypoxia (about the same as a pressurized airliner - 8,000') and hyperoxia. I understand this protocol is to begin exercising in hypoxia and then switch to hyperoxia. True. He is not a fa...

Re: Paper: Translational approaches to understanding resilience to Alzheimer’s disease

From the paper, there are four brain characteristics associated with resilience despite AD pathology. I list them below along with strategies to achieve each. Please add on! Cortical thickness: Aerobic exercise, maintain a healthy homocysteine 5-8 mcmol/L Spine density : Avoid osteoporosis with weig...
