Re: My Father is 4/4
Spunky...you live up to your name and I like your positive thinking! I wish I had not been the one to encourage the testing, that's all. And yes, I do wish me and my dad were not 4/4. But no wallowing here! My family history is not too condemning. My paternal grandparents: grandfather died at 81 of ...

My Father is 4/4
I haven't been sure where to put this, but my father's results came in last week as a 4/4. He is 73. I feel devastated and guilty as I pressured him to take the 23andme test. Hi pygmyhippo.. I'm 4/4 too; there are several of us here. I also think there are things you might be able to change to improve cognitive function. Like Julie said read some posts and figure out what questions to ask. Have a family member join in as well if it seems overwhelming. We're here for one ...

Re: Trouble Swallowing (Dysphagia) and ApoE4
Wow - same here! My gastro doc scheduled an esophogram for me next week and I've been debating whether or not to pursue. My main problem is there is a "dead zone" right beyond the uvula and things just lie there until I flush then down with lots of liquid and gravity. My goal in pursuing t...
