Baths linked with lower CVD and stroke risk
I love this ❤️ Maybe it's a heat-blood thing; maybe it's just relaxing. But as someone who sucks at meditation but excels at baths, this is great to read :) https://heart.bmj.com/content/106/10/732 "In the present long-term cohort study of middle-aged Japanese men and women, we observed an inve...

Re: Do you guys worry about getting forgetful?
Yes. I vacillate between being impressed by all the balls I'm keeping in the air and freaking out about the things I forget that I don't think I used to forget. I don't have any test info to help prove we're fine or not fine, but I sympathize -- and I'm also in my mid-40s with three kids, a f/t job,...

Re: How long for dietary change to show up in bloodwork
Thank you all for the interesting replies. I scanned the Feldman page and will read more. Already it resonates. I'm not eating keto, but suspect I'm a "lean mass hyper-responder." Ever since I've had control of my diet (post-college cafeterias), I've energized with fat: dairy, olive oil an...

How long for dietary change to show up in bloodwork
I've googled this and seen three months, but I'm curious to hear your experiences about how long you have to eat differently for it to possibly show up in your bloodwork, particular lipid profile.

Re: PREPRINT: Increased risk from COVI-19 in apoe4s
https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.05.07.20094409v1 It looks like the researchers ran the numbers excluding people with a dementia diagnosis and factoring in congregate care scenarios, and apoe4 is indeed a risk for severe Covid-19. Definitely piling on :/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp...

Re: PREPRINT: Increased risk from COVI-19 in apoe4s
I hope the researchers analyze the role of long term care facilities in this data. In NJ 1/3 of deaths are estimated to be in LTC residents, https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/05/11/854063582/new-jersey-investigates-states-nursing-homes-hotbed-of-covid-19-fatalities And I bel...

Re: Einkorn Sprouted Wheat
I've used sprouted spelt and regular einkorn in sourdough breads. Buckwheat too, which isn't even a wheat, and gives me a feeling of no blood sugar hit - an impression, no measurements. Here's a recipe and you can search this website for gluten-free buckwheat bread (fermented) and whole grain sourdo...

Re: 4/4 and both parents
I am pretty sure my computer will suffer a slow death from all of the windows I have open looking at different threads and supplements to consider. Please, save my computer and help me make some decisions. Yep -- that's why I ended up buying the salmon roe. I spent a long time wading through the re...

Re: mothers of male children.
Iv`e recently read that women who have given birth to male children have a lower risk of AD as a result of having male DNA left behind by the male fetus in the mother`s brain.Has anyone else seen articles of this sort. Another article I,ve seen claims that people with group o blood are less prone t...

Re: 4/4 and both parents
Fats I have been trying to figure out which fish oil to get and I know we need it to be in phospholipid form. In 2014 krill oil was the thing to take. Now it appears that the levels in krill oil are too low. Are there any supplements available that have sufficient phospholipid content?I try to eat ...
