Re: HRT for everyone in RECODE?

Are any of the women in this group breast cancer survivors? I had a lumpectomy 6 years ago for ER and PR + carcinoma in situ of less than 2 cm diameter, and the oncologist in my health system seems to be able to block primary care, gynecology, and endocrinology from prescribing ERT for my brain, de...

Re: New Biomarkers for long term detection? Gfap Ltbp2

I saw this article in the Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/society/2024/feb/12/early-blood-test-to-predict-dementia-is-step-closer-as-biological-markers-identified regarding some new biomarkers in blood that appear to be able to predict AD 10 years before symptoms. The four proteins they measur...

Re: fasting glucose and a1c

The Wiki says this HgbA1c (Glycated hemoglobin) also known as HbA1c or just A1c, gives you an indication of your average glucose over the past 1-2 months and is better than a spot check of your glucose. It is helpful to know the hemoglobin A1c, the fasting insulin, and the fasting glucose, since th...

Re: Modifiable risks and APOE 4/4

Im APOE 4/4 and 23andMe said having a 4/4 gives you a 28% chance of contracting it by 75, 50% by 85. Does following the practices Dr. Attia promotes decrease the risk to normal level? Assuming the majority of those with the 3/4 and 4/4 that get AD did not take any preventable measures such as exerc...

Re: ACE trial: Arterial Stiffness, Cognition and Equol

Those who want to enroll may want to ask if the MRI uses a gadolinium contrast agent. Here is an FDA FDA Drug Safety Communication on these agents. Also one from a researcher at the University of New Mexico. I happen to be in a couple of groups where some group members are doing multiple repeat 30 ...

Re: AHEAD 3-45 STUDY CLINICAL TRIAL (LECANEMAB - BAN 2401)

I am in week 124 of the Ahead 3 study and just received and signed a revised Informed consent form yesterday for the study which includes two new provisions.
